Assistant Principals' Messages

Welcome Students, Parents, and Community Members,

It is such an honor to join Los Alisos Middle School as an Assistant Principal. I join an administrative team that is dedicated to working together with parents and community members in providing an outstanding education in a safe nurturing environment where all students are challenge to reach his or her maximum potential as respectful, responsible, contributing members of a diverse society.

My Vision for Los Alisos Middle School is that students arrive at an academically rigorous institution geared towards educating each student based on his or her individual needs through a standards-based curriculum, a positive classroom environment, professional learning communities, best practices in education, and a dedicated administrative team and staff geared towards a safe and civil school where all students feel safe and supported.

The steps that I will take to ensure this vision include:

  1. Serving as an instructional leader and providing support for staff members of all experience levels, always challenging my teachers to reach beyond their limits to attain a higher quality of education for all students

  2. Fostering a safe school through bullying prevention practices, new student ambassadors, a comprehensive and consistent discipline systems, and a structurally organized institution that supports positive choices

  3. Enhancing the practice of shared decision-making where all stakeholders have voice in the direction of our schools

My Mission is to guide students to be self-directed learners, collaborative workers, complex thinkers, quality producers, and community contributors.

My Belief is that a successful disciplinary program is one where consequences and reinforcement are respectfully geared to help change behavior where students realize their ability, responsibility, and appropriate behavior.

My Promise is to work with my students, staff, and administrative team as an instructional leader to help advance student achievement and to prepare our students for future success.

I am committed to supporting quality student-centered instruction and guidance that is based on the following shared beliefs:

  1. No Child at Los Alisos is Left Behind.

  2. Failure is NOT an Option.

  3. College is not a Dream. It is a Plan.
